OSCE mission ready to help Russian humanitarian aid to Donbas with ICRC leading role
The OSCE monitoring mission in Ukraine is ready to support the delivery of Russian humanitarian aid to Donbas under the aegis of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), a mission representative told Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.
He said the mission was prepared to help transportation, forwarding and access to the relief.
At the same time, the OSCE mission stressed it was not playing a leading role in the delivery of humanitarian aid to Donbas. The ICRC holds the leading role, it said.
The mission declined to comment on the details of the humanitarian aid delivery and the involvement of OSCE representatives in that process. It said negotiations and consultations between the relevant parties were still in progress.
