Auto traffic restored in Khreschatyk and adjacent streets, apart from Instytutska Street, says official

Auto traffic has been restored in Khreschatyk Street and all neighboring streets, apart from Instytutska Street, head of Kyivavtodor Volodymyr Zhukov said on Sunday, August 10.

He said that around 500 employees of utility services and 200 activists removed garbage and mud in Khreschatyk Street and adjacent territories. Lighting was also repaired.

According to a posting on the Web site of Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Sunday, utility services and Kyivans completed removed garbage on Maidan and along Khreschatyk Street near the building of the conservatory.

Zhukov also said that trucks which removed garbage from Khreschatyk Street and Maidan square made at least 500 trips and removed several hundreds of tonnes of waste.
