Early parliamentary elections in Ukraine already a reality - Poroshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said he believes that today early parliamentary elections in Ukraine are already a reality.
"Early parliamentary elections are already a reality. And it's not because some MPs, politicians or officials want this. It's because 80% of Ukrainians demand this," he said in parliament on Thursday.
However, he said, this should not hinder the productive work of all branches of government.
"Today, it is a matter of our joint responsibility. And, of course, today is not an easy time for everyone –the prime minister, who assumes huge responsibility, parliamentarians and each people's deputy, and the president," Poroshenko said, adding that Ukrainians defending their country are now in a more difficult situation.
