Rada to ratify agreement on police mission on July 31, speaker tells Dutch, Australian foreign ministers
Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov discussed with Foreign Ministers of the Netherlands and Australia, Frans Timmermans and Julie Bishop, in Kyiv on Monday the progress of the recovery and return of remains of those who were killed in the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 crash and their personal belongings.
Turchynov promised that the Verkhovna Rada would ratify the agreement on the use of civilian police forces signed by Ukraine and Australia, which will allow the Australian police to stay in the Malaysia Airlines aircraft crash zone.
"However, you should understand that terrorists along with Russia do not want an objective investigation into the Boeing crash, so they will do their best to hamper it," the parliamentary speaker said.
For her part, the Australian foreign minister noted that they have no doubt that the civilian plane was shot down by the separatists using Russian weapons, according to the Rada's Web site.
