Eighteen soldiers return to Ukraine after medical treatment in Russia
Eighteen Ukrainian servicemen have returned home after undergoing medical treatment at hospitals in the Russian southern city of Rostov-on-Don, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Vasyl Zvarych told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.
The dead body of a Ukrainian soldier who died from his injuries has been turned over to the Ukrainian authorities as well, he said.
"With the help of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry and Consulate General in Rostov-on-Don, 18 servicemen who received medical treatment in Russia and the dead body of one serviceman who died from his injuries were delivered from Russia to Ukraine by airplanes of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry this morning. Another four Ukrainian soldiers have stayed in Russia for further treatment," he said.
All issues concerning their return to Ukraine will be sorted out soon, Zvarych said.
