Kyiv unaware of British journalist Phillips's whereabouts
The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council does not possess information on the whereabouts of British journalist Graham Phillips contributing his reports to the Russian international television network Russia Today (RT).
"We don't have any information concerning this journalist," National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andriy Lysenko said at a news conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
"Ukrainian military servicemen don't capture journalists. Quite the contrary, they create conditions for their work," Lysenko said.
The RT management had said earlier on Wednesday that it was trying to find out Phillips's location. The last time the TV station had contact with Phillips was in the early hours of Wednesday, while he was working in the Donetsk airport area, it said.
