Two inmates die, two more injured when colony in Horlivka comes under fire
During battles between Ukrainian anti-terrorist operation forces and Russian-sponsored insurgents in Horlivka in Donetsk region twelve missiles hit the Michurinska correctional colony, two inmates died, two more and a colony head aide on duty sustained shrapnel wounds.
On July 21 at around 2330, twelve missiles hit the colony during the battle between anti-terrorist forces and the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) rebels in Horlivka, the Ukrainian State Penitentiary Service press office said on Tuesday.
"As a result, colony aide on duty sustained shrapnel wounds to the left leg and two convicts sustained multiple shrapnel wounds. The convicts were hospitalized in Horlivka medical facilities, where they are being provided with expert medical care. Two convicts sustained fatal injuries and later died," the press office said.
