Poroshenko visits Dutch, Malaysian embassies to convey condolences
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko visited the Dutch and Malaysian embassies on Monday.
Poroshenko brought flowers in commemoration of the air crash victims and made entries in the books of condolences, conveying grief to the victims' relatives.
"Ukraine shares the pain and grief that has befallen your people. Rest assured that all necessary measures are being taken in Ukraine to guarantee an in-depth investigation into this tragedy," Poroshenko wrote.
Poroshenko also said that he had instructed Deputy Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman and Foreign Minster Pavlo Klimkin to conduct an investigation into the circumstances of the tragedy under the direction of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and to organize an immediate repatriation of the bodies.
