Eight Ukrainian law servicemen killed in special effort zone in 24 hours
Eight Ukrainian servicemen died and 50 more were wounded in the zone of the anti-terrorist operation in east Ukraine in the past 24 hours, National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reports.
"In the past 24 hours eight Ukrainian militarymen were killed and 50 wounded," spokesman for the information center of the council Andriy Lysenko said at a Sunday briefing in Kyiv.
He said the wounded servicemen were taken to medical institutions and received due medical assistance,
He said that on Saturday militants attacked army positions 25 times in Luhansk, Donetsk, Avdiyivka, Marynivka, Chervona Zirka, Spirne and Chervonopartyzansk.
