Kyiv hopes for intl inquiry into Donetsk air crash - Yatseniuk

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has called for an international inquiry into the crash of the Malaysian airliner in Donbas.

"We started an independent inquiry and asked foreign governments to conduct an international investigation of this terrible tragedy, which no doubt is a terrorist attack," the prime minister said while opening a meeting with regional leaders via video link in Kyiv on Friday.

"We ask all relevant governments to help Ukraine investigate this terrorist attack, locate the site from which the launch was carried out, and establish which other countries were involved in this terrorist attack," Yatseniuk stressed.

The Ukrainian authorities "will act entirely within international law," the Ukrainian head of government said.

"We will gather all the evidence, we will conduct all tests and invite the international community. The world must know the real name of the criminals and the world must know the countries, the country, to be more accurate, which supports these gangsters," Yatseniuk said.
