Washington not imposing additional restrictions on aircraft flights over Ukraine - State Department
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has not yet published any new warnings banning flights over Ukraine due to the crash of a Malaysian aircraft, State Department spokesperson Jen Psaki said on Thursday.
At the same time, she mentioned the FAA warning of April 23 for U.S. pilots to refrain from flying over Crimea and adjacent portions of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
As reported, a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 carrying 298 passengers from Amsterdam (the Netherlands) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) crashed in eastern Ukraine on July 17.
After that, a number of airlines announced the termination of flights over Ukraine. They include Air France, Lufthansa, and Turkish Airlines.
