Yatseniuk says he backs talks on settlement of situation in eastern Ukraine in Geneva format
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said that he remains committed to holding negotiations on the settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine in the "Geneva" format.
"As for a further negotiation format, I was, is and remain a supporter of negotiations only in the Geneva format, which foresee four-party talks at the level of the EU, and which represent all EU member states, the United States, Russia and Ukraine," he said, while opening a government meeting on Thursday.
Yatseniuk also called for a cessation to the hostilities.
"Enough already, [Russian President] Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin]. It's necessary to stop the war. It's necessary to stop supporting bandits and separatists."
