Ukrainian Air Force flights in anti-terrorist operation area resumed
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have resumed flights within the area of the military operation in the eastern part of the country, which were suspended after an Antonov An-26 military transport plane was shot down in the Luhansk region, National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andriy Lysenko said.
"After the An-26 was shot down, a search and rescue operation was called, and flights by Ukrainian forces were suspended. Although the search operation is continuing, flights have been permitted, and they are already supporting our ground forces precisely in the areas where the most bitter clashes are taking place," Lysenko said in taking questions from journalists in Kyiv on Wednesday.
