Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski will meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in Kyiv on Tuesday, spokesman for the head of state Sviatoslav Tseholko has said.
"Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski will arrive in Ukraine today to meet with President Poroshenko on the eve of tomorrow's meeting of the European Council. On July 16, the EU countries will discuss their activities in support of Ukraine," Tseholko wrote on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
Deputy Director of Information Policy Department of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Vasyl Zvarych said at a briefing on Tuesday that Sikorski's visit program envisages his meeting with the president, prime minister and foreign minister of Ukraine.
The officials are expected to discuss the support for a peaceful settlement in the east of Ukraine and the development of bilateral dialogue.
