Defense Ministry confirms reports of five air strikes on positions of militants in Luhansk region
Ukrainian Armed Forces aircraft involved in anti-terrorist operation (ATO) launched five air strikes against the positions of militants and their technology in Luhansk region on July 13, and all of the designated targets were destroyed, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry has reported.
"All designated targets have been destroyed. The enemy sustained considerable losses in manpower and equipment. The air strikes paralyzed the actions of subversive and terrorist groups and disrupted their active actions. Panic is spreading in the groups of terrorists," the ministry's press service reported.
According to the report, the strikes were made on buildups of mortars, tanks and anti-aircraft installations near Luhansk airport. Two more air strikes were made on numerous units of militants near the Izvaryne border crossing point. A base of Chechen fighters in Lysychansk on the territory of a previously captured National Guard unit was also attacked from the air, the ministry said.
