Kyiv sends draft national plan on association agreement to Brussels – Klimkin
A national implementation plan is envisaged for the effective implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.
"A draft national implementation plan has currently been prepared. We have already handed it to the EU unofficially for the first comments and consideration," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.
Klimkin said that the national plan would be approved by the Verkhovna Rada and then nobody would be able to question the need for the allocation of budget funds for European integration measures. He said that this was a very ambitious idea and it would be good if it were realized.
He also denied reports of an alleged delay in the ratification process.
"Any formal delay in the ratification of the agreement is out of the question," Klimkin said.
