Kyiv Mayor and Head of Kyiv City State Administration Vitali Klitschko reiterated that he is against the dispersal of remaining Maidan activists by force.
"The dispersal of the Maidan using force would be an emergency measure. I'm not contemplating this and have never contemplated it," he told the journalists on Wednesday.
Klitschko said that he was continually holding talks with Maidan activists, and there are already some results. In particular, a part of them moved to the territory of Kyiv fortress.
As earlier reported, Ukraine's Prosecutor General Vitaliy Yarema has said he does not rule out the use of force if the residents of the tent camp on Independence Square and activists who remain in administrative buildings in the center of Kyiv offer armed resistance to law enforcement agencies during their eviction from the occupied buildings.
