Ukrainian pilot Savchenko held in Russia after crossing border with no papers disguised as refugee - Markin
Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko who is accused by Russian investigators of being involved in the killing of the VGTRK journalists has been held in Russia.
"It was found that Savchenko crossed the Russian border without papers disguised as a refugee. She was stopped for identification during paper checks in one of populated areas," Russian Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin told Interfax on Wednesday.
After that it was found that Savchenko is a suspect in a criminal inquiry into the killing of the Russian journalists, he said.
