Ukraine military did not open fire in Luhansk - Security and Defense Council
Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council spokesman Andriy Lysenko said the gunfire attack in Luhansk which killed two civilians and wounded eight others was launched by the militants.
"The Ukrainian military did not shell Luhansk in the morning. No order was issued to the air force or artillery to fire at the city. Therefore, it is easy for us to figure out who did that," Lysenko said at a press briefing on Tuesday.
The press service of the Luhansk City Council earlier reported that two civilians were killed and four others were wounded when shell fragments hit a minibus. The incident occurred in the morning of July 8. The injured victims were taken to hospitals.
The City Council urged local residents to stay indoors and not to approach areas of military confrontation.
