Italian FM: Trilateral negotiations on Ukraine-EU association deal implementation to start Friday
Ukraine, the European Union and Russia will start negotiations on the implementation of the Ukraine-EU association agreement on July 11, Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini said.
"We are very pleased that negotiations between Ukraine, the Russian Federation and the European Union will start on Friday in regard to the implementation of this agreement," she said in Kyiv on Tuesday.
In her words, the signing of the economic provisions of this agreement is important both for Ukraine and the European Union.
Mogherini said she had discussed bilateral economic cooperation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and they agreed to hold a meeting of the bilateral economic cooperation commission on the level of relevant ministers in the beginning of next year.
