The anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces have taken control of the villages of Stary Karavan and Brusivka in the Donetsk region, National Guard Commander Stepan Poltorak has said.
"Just five minutes ago I was told that the operation had been completed in the village of Stary Karavan and it had passed to our full control. The village of Brusivka is also under our control, and personnel are setting up roadblocks," he told reporters in Izium (Kharkiv region) on Tuesday.
He also noted that during both operations there were no casualties on the Ukrainian side (nobody wounded or killed).
Earlier on Tuesday, the head of the National Guard's information security department, Yuriy Stets, said that Poltorak had set the task of taking control of Stary Karavan and Brusivka.
