Ukrainian will remain sole state and constitutional language in Ukraine - Poroshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that the Ukrainian remains the only official language in Ukraine.
"Ukrainian was, is and will be the only state and constitutional language of Ukraine," he said at a meeting with representatives of local government agencies and state authorities in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He said that the decentralization of power would also concern the linguistic and cultural spheres.
"Local communities will have the full right to use all other languages, including Russian, on a par with Ukrainian," Poroshenko said.
