Kyiv says Merkel ready to support multilateral dialogue in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko spoke on the phone to German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel on Sunday, the Ukrainian presidential press service said.
"The assistance and personal involvement of Angela Merkel and other world leaders are critical for the resolution of the conflict in eastern Ukraine," the Ukrainian chief of state said.
The German federal chancellor confirmed her support for the Poroshenko peace plan and utmost readiness for the promotion of a multilateral dialogue between all interested sides, the report said.
Poroshenko stressed the importance of joint projects with Germany targeting reconstruction of infrastructure elements in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
