Ukraine controls situation on border with Russia - National Security Council

The Ukrainian-Russian borderline has been taken under control thanks to which not a single military vehicle has been noticed crossing the border in the past two days, spokesman for the information center of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Volodymyr Chepovy has said.

"This means that the entire borderline is controllable. And data for the past two days prove that no vehicles even in attempted cases of breakthrough crossed it either way," he said at a Sunday briefing.

However, a convoy of military vehicles of insurgents has been discovered in the area of Dmytrivka in Donetsk region consisting of five tanks, seven armored personnel carriers, KAMAZ and Ural heavy trucks.

Chepovy said the trucks were carrying some 140 people part of whom may be Russian citizens.
