Kyiv reports fighting in Artemivsk and near Krasny Lyman

One soldier was injured as Ukrainian government forces repelled an attack staged by militants in the town of Artemivsk, Donetsk region, last night, Kyiv's Information Resistance group coordinator, Dmytro Tymchuk, said on his Facebook account.

"Last night militants attacked a military unit in Artemivsk. Ukrainian servicemen repelled the assault. One soldier was injured. It is not known whether any of the militants were killed or injured," he said.

Fighting continues near the village of Zakotne outside Krasny Lyman, Tymchuk said.

"During the armed clash, forces of the anti-terrorist operation seized an armored reconnaissance and surveillance vehicle belonging to the terrorists, as well as their KamAZ truck fitted with a large-caliber submachine gun," he said.
