Poroshenko nominates Klimkin for Ukrainian foreign minister
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has sent a motion to the Verkhovna Rada nominating Pavlo Klimkin for the post of Ukraine's foreign minister.
A respective draft resolution was published on the parliament's Web site on June 18.
According to the Constitution, the president submits motions to the Verkhovna Rada on the appointment of the foreign minister and the defense minister.
Klimkin has served as Ukraine's ambassador to Germany since June 2012.
