Ukrainian source reports fighting east of Luhansk

Ukrainian law enforcement units have clashed with the unlawful armed groups in the east of Luhansk region, Ukrainian army operation spokesman Vladyslav Selezniov said.

A Ukrainian unit "detected a large convoy of militants in the east of Luhansk region" on Monday, he said. "The militants opened fire. The Ukrainian servicemen were positioned for all round defense. Reinforcements were rapidly sent to the area to support the Ukrainian unit," Selezniov wrote on Facebook on Tuesday morning.

The opposition lost 30 men killed and wounded, Selezniov said. "One Ukrainian serviceman was injured," he added.
