Poroshenko orders prompt completion of military operation
Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Andriy Parubiy said it is now too early to speak about a date when the operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions will end.
"I can only say that the president of Ukraine [Petro Poroshenko] has ordered a prompt solution of these tasks," he told a briefing in Kyiv on Monday.
Another reason why the date of the end of the operation in eastern Ukraine cannot currently be given is that "there is a real combat operation going on there," Parubiy said. He said Ukrainian troops are faced with big problems in this operation, including mined bridges and roads and well-equipped checkpoints.
