Kyiv waiting for Moscow to stop supporting militants and publicly call on them to lay down arms

Ukraine wants Russia to stop its propaganda campaign about the situation in eastern Ukraine and publicly call on members of illegal armed groups to lay down their arms, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

"Peace and security in the east of our country will come only after the terrorist threat, which is supported by the Kremlin, is overcome. Together with the entire international community, Ukraine is demanding that Russia stop the false propaganda campaign, put an end to the bloody support for killers, stop the supply of weapons and military equipment and publicly encourage terrorists to immediately lay down their arms," the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
