Ukrainian president to initiate proposals on constitutional reform this week - Turchynov
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will offer the Verkhovna Rada this week a bill of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine on the decentralization of power, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Oleksandr Turchynov has said.
"I had a conversation with the president of our country, Petro Poroshenko, and we agreed that he would initiate this week proposals on constitutional reform. The issue concerns the decentralization of power in Ukraine. His legislative initiative will be here," he said at a meeting of the parliament's conciliatory council in Kyiv on Monday.
Turchynov also said that the deputy factions would be able to examine the proposed changes in the near future.
