Citizens probably to be removed from war zone through Krasny Lyman – Interior Ministry
A corridor for the removal of civilians from the counter-terrorist operation zone will probably be set up on the road to the town of Krasny Lyman (Donetsk region), advisor of Interior Minister of Ukraine responsible for temporary resettlement of Donbas residents from the conflict zone Zorian Shkiriak said.
"Now I can't say exactly where this corridor will be created, but provisionally it will be to the direction of Krasny Lyman," he said at a briefing at the Ukrainian Interior Ministry on Friday.
Shkiriak noted that under the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, an interagency HQ dealing with this issue has been established.
He also reported that in next few days he together with head of coordination HQ, deputy head of State Service of Emergency Situations, will go to the counter-terror operation's where to locate a transit point. He said that the transit point would handle 10,000 citizens. People are to be taken from the combat zone in 2-3 phases.
