Borys Lozhkin appointed head of Ukraine's presidential administration
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has appointed the founder of Ukrainian Media Holding (UMH), Borys Lozhkin, head of the presidential administration.
The head of state signed a decree to that effect on Tuesday, according to the president's Web site.
Lozhkin was born in Kharkiv on October 23, 1971. He is the founder of Ukrainian Media Holding (UMH Group, since 2000). His career is entirely related to the media industry, in which the businessman began to invest from the late 1980s. In 1994, Lozhnik founded the Telenedelya newspaper from which, as he said, the UMH holding was created.
On November 6, 2013, VETEK, a company owned by businessman Serhiy Kurchenko, and UMH early closed a deal on the sale and purchase of the media holding.
