Klitschko officially announced as winner of Kyiv mayor election
Ukrainian heavyweight boxing champion and politician Vitali Klitschko has won the May 25 Kyiv mayoral elections with 765,020 votes.
The territorial election commission of Kyiv approved the relevant results of the vote count at its meeting on Tuesday.
According to the protocol, Klitschko was favored by 765,020 Kyivans (56.7% of the vote), parliamentarian Lesia Orobets by 114,137 (8.46%), and the head of the Kyiv city state administration, Volodymyr Bondarenko by 107,333 (8%).
The voting results and election outcomes will be published in the Khreschatyk newspaper.
