Luhansk border guard unit besieged - Ukrainian border guard service

The headquarters of the Luhansk border guard unit is still besieged by armed groups, the storming could resume any time, according to the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service.

"Militants are continuing the siege of the Luhansk border guard station, there is no fighting yet but armed men are ready to resume the attack any time," Border Guard Service spokesman Oleh Slobodian told reporters on Tuesday.

The preliminary data suggest that about ten members of the armed groups have been killed and several dozen injured since the beginning of the fight, he added.

The casualty toll among border guards has not changed (eight injured).
