Ukrainian army roadblock put under fire near Sloviansk
A Ukrainian army roadblock near Sloviansk, Donetsk region, was put under fire early on Monday morning, Ukrainian military operation spokesman Vladyslav Selezniov wrote on Facebook.
He said the servicemen returned fire and the shooting stopped.
Forces engaged in the Sloviansk operation continue to fulfill their missions, including the restoration of "law and order in the region" and the blocking and killing of gunmen who refuse to lay down arms, Selezniov said.
"Sufficient numbers of servicemen and military hardware have been assigned to accomplish these missions," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the armed separatists' headquarters in Sloviansk reported the Ukrainian servicemen injured five civilians on Sunday.
