Gunmen seize local prison chief in Horlivka near Donetsk; demand weapons - media
Armed men have captured the head of the Kalininska correctional institution N27 in Horlivka, Donetsk region, Ukraine, according to the news website Gorlovka.ua.
The prison chief was told to allow access to the weapons storage room containing Kalashnikov rifles, a prison officer told Gorlovka.ua.
The armed men arrived to the prison on two Jeeps and a Kamaz, the Web site said. "They disarmed the guards' unit, which is the place where weapons are issued every morning to those standing in guard towers. They left a minimum of automatic rifles for guarding the prison," the source said.
