France asks new Ukrainian leader to start national healing
France on Monday hailed Ukrainian businessman Petro Poroshenko's victory in presidential elections and urged him to carry out reforms for national healing.
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius expressed his "warmest congratulations" to the politician, who was elected in the first round.
He asked Poroshenko to implement "necessary reforms in a spirit of appeasement and stability and national dialogue".
