Swedish FM: Ukraine, EU to choose their path to future on May 25
Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt has noted the importance of the results of the May 25 presidential elections for Ukraine's future.
"On May 25, we shall all go to very important elections. You will hold your democratic presidential election after your previous president disgracefully fled from Ukraine. And in Europe on the same day we will hold the world's largest democratic elections to the European Parliament," he said in Kyiv on Saturday during the opening ceremony of the Days of Europe.
The Swedish foreign minister noted that Ukraine and the EU on this day will choose their own path to the future.
