43 people hurt in May 2 events still receive hospital treatment in Odesa
Some 43 people hurt in the May 2 tragic events in Odesa continued to receive hospital treatment as of Monday morning, and two of them are in the intensive care unit in critical condition, the Odesa City Council information and public relations department said.
Both ICU patients have burns, the Council told Interfax, adding that secondary infection was the biggest threat.
The City Council has confirmed the death of two May 2 victims at a hospital.
Mass disturbances and a fire, which broke out in the Union House in downtown Odesa on May 2, killed 48 people and injured more than 200.
