Territorial defense battalion's deputy commander and soldier killed in Mariupol on May 9 – Defense Ministry
Two servicemen of the territorial defense battalion have been killed in Mariupol during the active phase of the counter-terrorism operation on May 9, the press service of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine reported.
According to the service, deputy commander of the territorial defense battalion Lieutenant Colonel Demydenko Serhiy was killed in Mariupol on May 9. "The car he was going in has been subtly executed by shooting," the report said.
Besides, a machinegunner of the territorial defense battalion Eisman Oleh died when was removing a blockade of Mariupol town police department of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry in Donetsk region.
"The leadership of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine and the General HQ of the Armed Forces of Ukraine presents profound condolences to the families and friends of the deceased in the battle against the terrorists of the Ukrainian heroes, who gave their lives for peace, security and territorial integrity of Ukraine," the report said.
