The United Kingdom will pressure Russia into fulfilling the Geneva commitments, British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs William Hague said at a press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He noted that the Ukrainian government was honoring the Geneva deal in contrast to Russia.
The UK is closely interacting with the United States and EU countries in preparations for new sanctions on Russia, Hague said. He added that the UK played a key role in formulating the sanctions.
The EU Foreign Affairs Council will gather on May 12 to confer on the Ukrainian situation.
