Kernes remains very critical, may need second operation
The condition of the Kharkiv mayor Hennadiy Kernes is very critical, his deputy Svetlana Horbunova-Ruban said
"The condition is still very critical. He is still in a medically induced coma because of the need for artificial ventilation of his lungs," she said at a briefing on Tuesday.
Doctors at the Israeli clinic are now conducting a full examination of his system, including tomographic and X-ray scans which were not possible in Kharkiv because of Kernes' condition, she said.
After the examination the doctors will decide whether a second surgery is needed, the deputy mayor said.
