Government urges MPs to agree on new wording of constitution by May 25 - Yatseniuk
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has urged MPs to prepare and agree on a bill of amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine by May 25.
"The Ukrainian government is addressing all political forces so that the text of the new wording of the Constitution of Ukraine could be signed and agreed by May 25. This new wording should be submitted for conclusions to the Venice Commission and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine regarding the compliance of this wording with the current Constitution of Ukraine," he said on Tuesday during an open parliamentary meeting in the form of public hearings on the discussion of constitutional amendments.
Yatseniuk said it was important that all parliamentary factions support the new bill.
