The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has started issuing ten-year visas to Ukrainian citizens, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.
"According to the U.S. Embassy, today the United States introduces the practice of issuing ten-year visas to citizens," the director of the ministry's information policy department, Yevhen Perebyinis, said at a briefing on Friday.
He noted that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry welcomed this step by the U.S. side.
"Thus, the maximum period of validity of visas for certain categories of citizens of Ukraine, in particular, businessmen and tourists, has increased to ten years," he added.
