Military vehicles entering Sloviansk - media

Military vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are entering the town of Sloviansk (Donetsk region), which was seized by "Donbas self-defense forces," on Thursday, the local news site slavgorod.com.ua has reported.

"Tension is growing in Sloviansk. Helicopters are circling above the town, which seem to oversee the movement of the military. According to eyewitnesses, the armored vehicles of the Ukrainian army are being pushed into the town from several sides," reads the statement.

The report also notes that people living on the outskirts of the town reported that shots were being heard. "Self-defense" representatives were burning tires at the checkpoint near Kombikormovy Plant.
