US to support civil society in Ukraine, says Biden

U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden has stressed the importance of civil society in the development of a democratic state.

Biden said this at a meeting with representatives of civil society in Kyiv on Tuesday.

He called on the civil society in Ukraine to continue to do everything possible for the development of a democratic state.

For his part, he promised that the United States would provide support to Ukrainian civil society on its path to real democracy.
