Ukraine's law on amnesty in 2014 comes into force on April 19
The text of the April 8 law on amnesty in 2014 was published on Friday in the official parliament's newspaper the Voice of Ukraine and, according to its provisions, it will come into effect on the day after its publication - Saturday, April 19.
As reported, on April 8, the Verkhovna Rada passed the bill on amnesty in 2014. The law stipulates pardoning convicts who committed less serious crimes and those who are unprotected and socially vulnerable. According to the bill, the amnesty applies to minors, parents of children under 18 years and disabled children.
