Govt prepared bill on amnesty for those who surrender their weapon and recapture buildings – PM
The Cabinet of Ministers has prepared a bill on an amnesty for people who voluntarily surrender arms and vacate captured buildings, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"Such an amnesty is possible only if the people who illegally took up weapons and seized the buildings surrender their weapon and vacate the buildings - in our opinion such people must be subject to an amnesty," the premier said in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday morning.
He said that this bill would be registered at the parliament as soon as possible and supported by the majority of votes, the opposition as well.
