Oleh Tsariov says he will remain Ukraine presidential candidate
Ukrainian presidential candidate and MP Oleh Tsariov has said he will not pull out of the presidential race under any circumstances, his press service has reported.
"I will not withdraw [from the race] under pressure today," Tsariov said at the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office building last night.
"The only way to settle the political crisis and maintain the integrity of the Ukrainian state is for the authorities to engage in peaceful dialogue with all of the country's citizens," he said.
Tsariov's press service reported earlier that the presidential candidate was in serious condition after being severely beaten in Kyiv.
As soon as Tsariov was able to leave the office of the ICTV television station, where he participated in the Svoboda Slova (Freedom of Speech) program, he was taken to the headquarters of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office.
