Turchynov orders state protection of Donetsk regional administration

Verkhovna Rada Speaker and acting President Oleksandr Turchynov has signed decree No. 386/2014 on the state protection of Donetsk Regional State Administration.

"To determine the building of Donetsk Regional State Administration and adjacent areas as an important public facility subject to state protection," reads the decree, which was posted on the Web site of the acting head of state late on Wednesday.

The State Guard Department of Ukraine was instructed to ensure the state protection of the building of the regional state administration and adjacent areas.

The decree comes into force on the date of its publication.
